226 (Neath to Port Talbot):
Revised timetable and route with the service running via Pencaerau.

Changes to service 173 from 1st August 2010.

Currently service 173 operates a circular service between Burry Port / Pembrey - Llanelli Town Centre - Prince Philip Hospital - Brynawelon - Parc Pemberton - Parc Trostre - Llanelli - Burry Port.

Lower speed limits and traffic calming measures have since been introduced in Burry Port which have made it impossible to maintain the existing timetable.

Therefore, changes to be made from 1st August will include:

- The section of route between Pembrey and Burry Port is being removed.

- Buses will operate on a half hourly basis in Burry Port alternating between clockwise and anticlockwise around the town. One bus will run from Chiver's Corner - Achddu - Stepney Road - Elkington Road - Gwscwm Road - Furnace Road - Bryn Illtyd - Tan y Bryn - Rail Station - Glan y Mor Terrace
- Church Road and the next bus will operate the reverse of the route. Buses will therefore run around Burry Port once on every journey.

- Buses will no longer operate via Heol Elfed or Trallwm Road. They will operate direct between Brynawelon and Halfway traffic lights.

These changes have been necessary in order that we can operate our timetable within the strict guidelines set by the Traffic Commissioner.

* From the same date, First will be operating the evening 111 and X13 services, there will be slight timing changes to 111, 400, 404 and X11 to improve reliability and also service 103 will no longer operate around Caecoed Estate but will service Woodfield Avenue and Blaenau Road. This will improve reliability on the route and will allow us to use a larger bus to meet demand.
