Vale of Glamorgan Concessionary Travel Scheme

Passengers are advised of the following changes to the Vale of Glamorgan Concessionary Travel Scheme with effect from 1st October 2011.

Disabled Persons Concessionary Bus Passes

When it is established that a person’s disability may not be not lifelong, a pass will only be issued with a term of 3 years and further reviewed thereafter. There will be no change to passes issued to persons with lifelong disabilities. However, the Council reserves the right to review the continued validity of any such pass. 

Charges for Replacement Bus Passes (lost or stolen)

Charges (as advised below) will be introduced for replacement bus passes that have been either lost or stolen.
• £0 (free) for the first pass issued on initial application.
• £0 (free) for a replacement passes where damaged, non-functioning or general wear and tear affects the validity of a pass and that pass is returned to the Council when applying for a replacement. If such a pass is not returned a charge will be applied in accordance with charges for replacement passes when lost or stolen.  
• £5 for the first replacement pass when lost or stolen.
• £10 for the second replacement pass when lost or stolen.

These charges apply to passes issued by the Vale of Glamorgan Council only.
