Changes to Cardiff Bus Ticket Purchasing

03 CHWEFROR 2012

iff© you're buying a weekly ticket - changes from 29th Janclose.iff© your buying a weekly ticket - changes from 29th Jan

From Sunday 29 January, if you buy any of the following:

Week to Go
Week to Go Plus
Barry Week to Go
Young Person’s Freedom Card

You will now need to have a Cardiff Bus iff smartcard as these tickets will only be issued on an iff card.

Many thousands of people already have an iff card, but if you havent signed up yet its completely free and is so easy to register for. You can pick up an application form from our Customer Service Centre in Wood Street or apply on line at http://www.cardiffbus.com/english/iff.htm

And once you've got your iff card using it is simple!

To renew your ticket, when you board the bus tell the driver which ticket you want, then when told, place your iff card on the reader on top of the ticket machine (the white circled area). The driver will update your iff card and once this is complete tell you to remove it.

You will get a receipt showing how much you paid and when your ticket expires.

Then, each time you use the bus, just place your iff card on the reader, wait for the bleep and remove your card.

We are making this change to help speed up journeys and also make these tickets more secure.
